Immigration

Illegal immigration has become an undeniable crisis under the Biden Administration, and liberals in Congress have failed to support meaningful border security legislation. Since 2021, there have been over 10 million migrant encounters in the U.S., and nearly 2 million migrants have successfully evaded border officials, which top U.S. officials warn is a grave national security threat. The left's illegal immigration crisis is a direct result of the Biden Administration opposing and jettisoning commonsense immigration measures like revoking the effective Remain in Mexico policy.

According to AAN research conducted in February 2024, Americans overwhelmingly agree there is a crisis at the border and want the U.S. Government to take action. Here are some of the survey's key findings among battleground voters:
  • Nearly 90% believe the U.S. Government needs to act on border security.
  • Over 85% agree that there is a crisis at our southern border
  • 62% support forcing the Biden Administration to reinstate the Remain in Mexico policy, as opposed to 28% who oppose.

Our lawmakers must advocate and support commonsense measures to strengthen our border and protect American citizens. Below are some of the key solutions currently within in Congress to address the illegal immigration crisis:
  • H.R. 2: the Secure the Border Act of 2023
    • Latest Action: Passed by the House. Stalled in the Senate.
  • H.R.3602: Transnational Criminal Organization Illicit Spotter Prevention and Elimination Act
  • H.R.163: Security First Act
  • H.R. 2738: Make the Migrant Protection Protocols Mandatory Act of 2023
