American Action Network Kicks Off Digital Campaign Promoting $1,200 Tax Cut For Working Families

$600,000 campaign featuring Wisconsin mother highlights savings for middle-class families, running in 27 key congressional districts nationwide

WASHINGTON – American Action Network’s Middle-Class Growth Initiative (MCGI) announced a $600,000 digital ad campaign to further momentum on the tax reform plan released by the White House and congressional leaders. The ad features the personal testimony of a working Wisconsin mother, Lindsay Pratt, highlighting what a $1,200 tax cut means for middle-class families like hers. The unique, member-specific spots will run through the end of October in 27 congressional districts nationwide. View the list of targeted districts here.

“The tax reform plan put forward by the White House and congressional leaders would provide a tax cut upward of $1,200 for the average, middle-class family. It’s time for Congress to do their part, act on tax reform, and make tax cuts a reality for hardworking Americans across the country,” said AAN Executive Director Corry Bliss. “America’s current tax code places a costly and unnecessary burden on middle-class families. Too many working families have had to live paycheck-to-paycheck for too long, struggling to make ends meet.”

The latest digital ad is part of the Middle-Class Growth Initiative, a special project of American Action Network to promote and advance meaningful tax reform. AAN’s MCGI multi-pronged efforts, totaling over $12 million in spending, include TV, radio and digital ads, direct mail, and mobile billboards targeting over 40 congressional districts across the country.

LINDSAY: If anyone has ideas that make things better for working families, I’m listening.

So, when Congress released a tax reform plan that cuts middle-class taxes — I read it.

It’s easy to understand.

And an independent analysis shows that middle-class families save more than $1,200 a year.

For families like mine, more money saved means more peace of mind.

So thank [Member of Congress] – [He/she] is fighting for the tax reform America’s working families need.
