American Action Network to Spend $1 Million Against Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-01)
WASHINGTON – The American Action Network (@AAN) today announced they will be spending $1 Million in Arizona’s 1st congressional district race between liberal Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick and center-right candidate Andy Tobin. The independent expenditures will include TV ads in the Phoenix media market and digital advertising in mid-October.
“Ann Kirkpatrick has been a reliable partisan champion for President Obama and Nancy Pelosi – even voting to make Obamacare the law despite its costs on Arizona families,” said Emily Davis, spokeswoman for American Action Network. “Instead of Ann Kirkpatrick’s far-left agenda, proven center-right leader Andy Tobin will be a voice for Arizonans who want more jobs, less government intrusion, and freedom from the unworkable Obamacare law.”
This is part of a first round of announced spending along with AAN’s sister organization, the Congressional Leadership Fund Super PAC, totaling $8 Million in nine districts across the country. The initial round includes $750,000 against Congressman Ron Barber (AZ-02). During the 2012 election cycle, independent expenditures of AAN and CLF were rated the #1 and #2 Highest “Return on Investment” of any conservative outside spenders.
