American Action Network Statement On Senate Passage Of The Tax Cuts And Jobs Act

WASHINGTON – American Action Network (@AAN) Executive Director Corry Bliss issued the following statement in response to the Senate’s passage of The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:

“The Senate has taken a major step toward delivering their promise of pro-growth tax reform for American families. AAN applauds the leadership shown, and the unwavering commitment to making meaningful reform a reality. Working families cannot, and should not, wait any longer for more jobs, lower rates, and a simpler tax code. In the coming weeks Congress has a unique, once-in-a-generation opportunity to work together to make tax reform a reality and provide a $1,200 tax cut for the average middle-class family. It is now time for Congress to get to work, get the job done, and pass meaningful tax relief by the end of the year.

AAN is proud of its role in spreading a winning message for tax reform, and we remain committed to uniting conservatives and sharing the virtues of Congress’ tax plan, and we pledge to continue spending until this legislation makes it to the President’s desk and becomes law.”

AAN has been the leading outside group advocating for the House passage of tax reform legislation, spending over $22 million since August. On August 1, AAN launched the Middle-Class Growth Initiative, dedicated to the passage of tax reform that results in a simpler, fairer, and pro-growth tax code. The campaign has included an aggressive effort across numerous platforms including television, digital, radio and direct mail, targeted to over 60 key congressional districts nationwide.
