American Action Network Launches BishopBuyOff.com
WASHINGTON – The American Action Network is launching BishopBuyOff.com to mark the two-year anniversary of “bar mitzvah-gate,” the pay-to-play fireworks scandal Congressman Tim Bishop (NY-01) is engulfed in. The website features an interactive timeline to navigate the sordid history of Congressman Tim Bishop’s cash for favors, lies and cloud of ethics investigations.
“Over the last two years, Long Islanders have begun to learn about Tim Bishop’s exploding cash-for-service scheme,” said Emily Davis, spokeswoman for American Action Network. “His ‘really gross’ underhanded talk and unethical activity remind Long Island families that it’s time the ‘friggin mailman’ Tim Bishop is held accountable.”
The timeline displays key dates and activities that reveal a pattern of corruption revolving around permits for a fireworks show at a bar mitzvah on May 26, 2012. Now two years later, Tim Bishop’s pay-to-play scheme is still exploding.
