AAN Releases “Bottle Rockets, Bentleys & Buy Offs?” Video Ad

WASHINGTON – The American Action Network (@AAN) is launching an online video ad “Bottle Rockets, Bentleys & Buy Offs?” on the pay-to-play ethics investigation of scandal-plagued Congressman Tim Bishop (NY-01). The TMZ-style news video spotlights the salacious bar-mitzvah bash fireworks story of Tim Bishop’s cash for favors, lies and ongoing ethics probe.

“What started as bad headlines for Tim Bishop two years ago has exploded into a full-scale corruption probe that’s really airing out his dirty laundry,” said Emily Davis, spokeswoman for American Action Network. “This election, Tim Bishop can’t lie and hide from the mountain of damning evidence that’s surfaced showing his pay-to-play fireworks scheme and cover up. Come November, Long Islanders can tell Tim Bishop they’ve had enough of his ‘really gross’ behavior, and they deserve better than a corrupt Congressman caught in scandal and lies.”

The video ad builds off AAN’s previously launched website, BishopBuyOff.com, featuring an interactive timeline of key dates and activities of Tim Bishop’s scandal involving fireworks show permits for a constituent’s bar mitzvah. Additionally, AAN invested $225,000 in TV, digital and mail advertisements in the NY-01 primary election won by Army Reservist and State Senator Lee Zeldin.

Our next story has Bottle Rockets, Bentleys and…Buyoffs?

You remember Congressman Tim Bishop – calls himself the “friggin mailman” because he helped deliver a fireworks permit for a swanky party thrown by a wealthy hedge fund manager. And then solicited 10 grand for his help.

Yeah. Like the hedge fund guy said, “really gross.” Now documents from a big investigation show Bishop has lied to cover things up and his campaign may have filed falsified documents.

Looks like Tim Bishop is really busted this time.
