AAN Poll: Tobin Leads Kirkpatrick by 6 points
Today American Action Network is releasing a poll in AZ-01, showing Republican candidate Andy Tobin leading Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick by 6 points. Key finding of the poll include:
• On the generic ballot, voters prefer a Republican candidate to a Democratic candidate by 45% to 36%.
• 59% of voters disapprove of Obama’s job performance, while just 38% approve. Meanwhile, voters say the country is on the wrong track by a 3-1 margin.
• Andy Tobin leads Ann Kirkpatrick 48%-42% and leads among white men and white women. Additionally, just one-third of voters think Kirkpatrick deserves reelection.
The poll was conducted by North Star Opinion Research. Of note, in addition to a 4% Native American sample, most of the “6% Other” sampled are also from tribes.
