AAN Launches One Million Robocalls to Support Tax Reform Framework

Campaign targets 45 congressional districts nationwide

WASHINGTON – Following the release of the “Big Six” tax reform framework, American Action Network’s Middle-Class Growth Initiative (MCGI) launched one million robocalls to constituents in 45 congressional districts nationwide. The calls ask constituents to contact their representative and urge them to fight for a tax code that is simple, fair and cuts taxes for middle-class families. “The White House and congressional leaders have a bold plan that puts Americans first by cutting taxes for middle-class families and small businesses. Today, we are calling one million people across the country to make their voices heard and urge their representative to deliver a tax code that is simple, fair, and cuts taxes,” said AAN Executive Director Corry Bliss. “Congress must take this once-in-a-generation opportunity and deliver historic tax reform to bring back America’s middle class, create good-paying jobs at home, and unleash economic prosperity for all.”

In August, American Action Network launched the Middle-Class Growth Initiative, a special project to advocate for the passage of meaningful tax reform legislation. The multi-pronged campaign, now totaling over $8 million, has included advertising on television, radio, direct mail and mobile billboards.

ANNCR: Hello, I’m calling on behalf of the American Action Network at 800-339-4650 with an important legislative update. Yesterday, Congress released a new tax reform proposal to simplify the tax code and cut middle-class taxes.

The new plan will lower tax rates, nearly double the standard deduction for America’s hardworking families, and enhance the Child Tax Credit. These are exactly the changes that are needed to bring back job from overseas and keep the economy growing.

Please contact your Congressman [Member of Congress] at [Phone Number] and tell [him/her] to keep fighting for tax reform that simplifies the tax code and cuts middle-class taxes.

Paid for by American Action Network and not authorized by candidate or candidate’s committee.
