AAN Congratulates Mike Bishop in Michigan’s 8th District Election

WASHINGTON – American Action Network (@AAN) Chairman and former U.S. Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN) issued the following statement on tonight’s election results in Michigan’s 8th Congressional District. AAN spent nearly $800,000 in independent expenditures in the MI-08 race on TV advertising, online advertising and GOTV efforts.

“Congratulations to Mike Bishop on his decisive victory tonight. Mike is a doer – he wants to get things done. Mike Bishop has fought on behalf of 8th district families during his first term in Congress, working tirelessly to battle opioid abuse and fight for more affordable, quality health care. Mike is exactly the kind of leader families can rely on to stand for center-right solutions that will make the state and our country more prosperous and more secure.”

In 2016, American Action Network and its sister super PAC, Congressional Leadership Fund, spent a combined $48 million in independent expenditures in 32 U.S. House races.

The American Action Network is a 501(c)(4) ‘action tank’ that creates, encourages and promotes center-right policies based on the principles of freedom, limited government, American exceptionalism, and strong national security.
