AAN Congratulates John Shimkus on IL-15 Primary Victory

WASHINGTON – American Action Network (@AAN) Chairman Norm Coleman issued the following statement in response to Congressman John Shimkus’ primary victory in Illinois’ 15th Congressional District. AAN spent $200,000 in independent expenditures on TV ads, digital ads and GOTV calls in the final week to bolster John Shimkus for victory.

“Congratulations to John Shimkus on a decisive victory in the Illinois primary. His victory sends a signal that voters are seeing through the attack language in this election and recognizing that conservatives like John Shimkus are fighting for their values.

“I’m thrilled that Illinois voters have enthusiastically endorsed the John Shimkus way for changing Washington: skilled, principled leadership that doesn’t compromise his conservative values and his belief that upholding our Constitution, our rights and our concerns as Americans is the path to getting things done in Washington.”
