AAN announces $3.2 million advocacy campaign on “No taxes on tips & overtime”
American Action Network today announced a $3.2 million issue advocacy campaign spotlighting policies in the Working Families Tax Cut that eliminate taxes on tips and overtime.
The Council of Economic Advisors estimates eliminating taxes on tips will increase workers’ take-home pay by an average of $1,675 per year and eliminating taxes on overtime will increase workers’ take-home pay between $1,400 and $1,750 per year.
The campaign also highlights House Democrats’ continued support of free health care for illegal immigrants.
In May, every single House Democrat voted against kicking illegal immigrants off Medicaid.
“Conservatives know hard-working Americans are the backbone of this country and they deserve to keep more of their money,” said American Action Network President Chris Winkelman. “It’s unfortunate that liberals are more concerned about protecting illegal immigrants than ensuring American citizens get a well-earned tax cut.”
The campaign includes streaming and digital advertising.
