AAN broadcast campaign contrasts WA officials on cost-of-living policy

(WASHINGTON) — American Action Network today launched a broadcast campaign contrasting Washington State elected officials’ votes on cost-of-living policies.

The ad is part of a $3 million broadcast campaign in Florida, Washington State and VA-02.

Democrats in Olympia raised taxes on Washington families, implementing the state’s first ever state income tax, that also strips funding for police, firefighters, and even local parks. To make it even harder on families, Democrat Congresswoman Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez voted in DC for the largest tax hike in American history.

State Senator John Braun voted against implementing Washington State’s first ever income tax, working to lower the cost-of-living for Washingtonians and protect public safety.

State Sen. John Braun fought for Washington families by rejecting an unprecedented state income tax and reckless public safety cuts,” said AAN President Chris Winkelman. “Meanwhile, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is piling on from DC, voting against crucial tax relief for tips, overtime, and Social Security beneficiaries. American Action Network will continue reminding Washingtonians that liberal policies are driving up their cost of living.”

American Action Network has spent over $37 million advocating for conservative cost-of-living policies since May 2025.
