AAN launches ad campaign on Kaptur’s radical, violent rhetoric

WASHINGTON – American Action Network today launched a new issue advocacy campaign in Ohio’s Ninth Congressional District, highlighting Rep. Marcy Kaptur’s dangerous rhetoric and votes against law enforcement.

Marcy Kaptur claimed “Donald Trump is a threat to our republic and should be removed from office without delay.”

The campaign also spotlights Kaptur’s vote against funding for law enforcement and ICE.

The ads are part of a national $5 million issue advocacy campaign explaining how liberals’ pro-criminal policies and persistent use of violent, radical rhetoric led to a toxic environment that scares Americans.

The Center for Strategic & International Studies found 2025 is “on pace to be the left’s most violent year in more than three decades.”

In addition, a recent Gallup poll found the issues of crime and national unity are “reverberating with Americans,” as mentions of crime or violence climbed to their “highest level since August 2020 — and before that, 2002.”

“With a surge in leftist radical violence, Marcy Kaptur helped spark the flame by claiming President Trump is ‘a threat to our republic,’” said AAN spokeswoman Lydia Hall. “Congresswoman Kaptur must show Ohio responsible leadership by voting to keep Ohio safe, not by using radical, divisive rhetoric.”
