AAN launches $5 million campaign on liberals’ radical, violent rhetoric
(WASHINGTON) — American Action Network today launched a $5 million issue advocacy campaign explaining how liberals’ pro-criminal policies and persistent use of violent, radical rhetoric led to a toxic environment that scares Americans.
The Center for Strategic & International Studies found 2025 is “on pace to be the left’s most violent year in more than three decades.”
In addition, a recent Gallup poll found the issues of crime and national unity are “reverberating with Americans,” as mentions of crime or violence climbed to their “highest level since August 2020 — and before that, 2002.”
Liberals have supported soft-on-crime policies and used radical rhetoric for years:
- Marie Gluesenkamp Perez called President Trump a fascist.
- Tom Suozzi suggested using the Second Amendment against President Trump.
- Gabe Vasquez called to “remove the national threat from office.”
- Vicente Gonzales compared Latino Trump supporters to “Jews for Hitler”.
- Marcy Kaptur said “Donald Trump is a threat to our republic.”
- Emilia Sykes voted ‘no’ on the Charlie Kirk resolution that called upon all Americans to reject political violence.
- Every single Democrat in the U.S. House voted against funding for law enforcement and ICE this summer.
“Liberals’ reckless rhetoric created an environment where violence and chaos thrive,” said American Action Network President Chris Winkelman. “America’s leaders must support common sense policies that keep our communities safe — and we’ll hold them accountable until they do.”
The campaign includes broadcast, streaming and digital advertising.
