American Action Network launches $7 million health care-focused issue advocacy campaign

Ads running on TV and digital platforms through the first week of June

American Action Network today launched a $7 million issue advocacy campaign educating Americans about the policy positions taken by Members of Congress on the issues of social security, Medicare and the cost of prescription drugs.

The issue campaign highlights policies supported by some members of Congress that will increase the cost of health care. It also highlights policies that will preserve health care benefits, protect seniors and root out waste, fraud and abuse in government.

The campaign includes broadcast, cable and digital advertising across 30 congressional districts. The campaign will run through the first week of June.

“Conservatives in Congress are working hard to protect seniors and preserve health care benefits for all Americans,” said American Action Network President Chris Winkelman. “The proposals Liberal members of Congress support not only increase health care costs but do nothing to root out waste fraud and abuse in government.”
